The Democratic Club serves Democrats of the Santa Maria Valley including Santa Maria, Orcutt and surrounding areas. The Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley (DCSMV) is chartered by the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee (SBDCC).
 
The Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley is an official association of local Democrats who discuss, debate and work to promote Democratic ideals, candidates, legislation and issues for the common good.

 Join the Democratic Party of SB County, BE for Change and Vote Blue to spend an afternoon at a lawn party for Willie Brown at the home of Janet Benner and Norm Russell, 6286 Covington Way in Goleta.  Cost:  $40 (includes a signed copy of Willie Brown’s best-selling autobiography, "Basic Brown."  Proceeds will go to support Democratic Party grassroots activities in the County.   RSVP by 5/8 to barbie@beforchange.org. .  Make checks to SBDCC PAC FEC # C00427856 and mail to PO Box 22435, SB 93121-2435.

Learn to be a Single Payer Health System Advocate so you can tell everyone you know how California can provide full health care, for all, for life, for less.   Unitarian Society's La Paz Lounge,1535 Santa Barbara Street. This session is valuable for advocates wishing to: speak to groups, or just to family, friends, and colleagues; write personal letters or letters to the editor; be clear and confident about this issue and to spread the word. We will carpool from HQ at 10:45 am to Lucie’s.  While some of us are taken for sightseeing into beautiful Colson Canyon to see the birds, butterflies and wildflowers, the rest of us will play cards, relax, play tennis, etc. Lucie will provide brunch, coffee and soft drinks, but feel free to bring your own liquid refreshment. RSVP by May 15 to Lucie at 937-6658.  Cost is $20 for this sightseeing-relaxing, brunch included, fundraiser.  Carpool from HQ at 10:15 am.
